CompTIA A+, Network+, Server+, and Security+ Certifications
CompTIA, the Computing Technology Industry Association, offers the A+ Certification exams, a testing program that certifies the competency of entry-level (six months experience) service technicians in the computer industry. The A+ Certification exams assess basic computer service and repair technology skills. We also offer courses to help you prepare for Network+ and Server+ certification exams. The Network+ certification verifies that the candidate knows about the OSI model, network components, and basic networking hardware peripherals and protocols. The Server+ certification credential validates advanced-level technical competency of server issues and technology, including installation, configuration, upgrades, maintenance, troubleshooting and disaster recovery. The Security+ series helps prepare the learner for the Security+ exam by teaching general security concepts, communication security, infrastructure security, some basics of cryptography, and operational and organizational security. It also provides a practice exam that includes questions in a format similar to the certification exam. Complete certification requirements for A+, Network+, Security+, and Server+ are located at the CompTIA Web site at www.comptia.org
